We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Bookkeping Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inter-company accounts.
  • Assisting in budget preparation, forecasting, and providing financial analysis.
  • Staying current with industry trends and regulations, recommending improvements to accounting processes.
  • Owning the client onboarding process and enhancing the overall customer experience.
  • Providing bookkeeping services for complex or transitioning clients.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of client data in our database systems.
  • Managing client inquiries, monitoring the company’s email inbox, and addressing urgent requests.
  • Collaborating with team members to keep client data up-to-date across all platforms.
  • Participating in team meetings to discuss client needs, tax compliance, and communication strategies.
  • Offering administrative support, including scheduling appointments and preparing reports.
  • Keeping informed of industry best practices and recommending relevant changes to company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with client management systems (CRM) and database management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Experience with tax compliance and budget forecasting is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
