We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong technical background in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and construction accounting. This role will focus on chart of accounts cleanup during client onboarding, balance sheet reconciliations, asset and liability setup, troubleshooting complex bookkeeping entries, and supporting system integrations.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable interpreting unclear financial data to resolve bookkeeping issues independently. This role also supports reporting needs for internal teams and may involve some client-facing communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage QuickBooks Online (QBO) setup, chart of accounts cleanup, and troubleshooting of accounting entries
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, asset and liability adjustments, and loan setup
  • Generate and customize financial reports and vendor expense reports
  • Support and troubleshoot system integrations between QBO and external platforms
  • Analyze unclear or incomplete financial data and resolve complex bookkeeping discrepancies
  • Support internal reporting and collaborate with team members on accounting needs
  • Communicate professionally with clients when necessary

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including setup, cleanup, and troubleshooting
  • Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations, loans, and asset/liability management
  • Experience with financial reporting and vendor expense reporting
  • Familiarity with QBO integrations and external accounting systems
  • Construction bookkeeping experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Zoho preferred
  • Experience with JobTread preferred (training available)
